Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching

Resistance Stretching - A Better Way to Stretch

Ask people about the benefits of stretching and you'll get a lot of different opinions. Traditional stretching certainly has it's controversies including concerns regarding joint strain and limited results. Yet, flexibility and muscle performance go hand in hand as a muscle can only shorten or contract relative to the degree it can lengthen.  By adding resistance and creating a dynamic stretch, you get a whole different result.

These small changes allow you to not only strengthen the muscle concurrently, you also provide a more thorough stretch of the belly of the muscle, reducing the possibility of joint and tendon damage, facilitating fascial release and improving overall energy.

GET STRETCHED

With assisted stretching, you get results not available by yourself. Whether before, during or after your game, resistance stretching will have you stronger, more flexible, healthier and feeling better in your body. This program has been used by professional and Olympic athletes, with especially good results in the rehab process after serious injury.

Dara Torres, world record holder and Olympic Athlete, and currently the oldest woman to compete on the Olympic swim team, has credited Resistance Flexibility Strength TrainingTM  and Ki-Hara TM  Resistance Stretching with being her 'secret weapon' and a key factor contributing to her success.

'Mashing' Sports Massage

Thai MASHiatsu, also called ‘Mashing’, is a blend of Thai massage, Swedish massage and foot Shiatsu. It’s a form of bodywork that prepares muscles using compression techniques similar to what have been practiced in the East for more than 38 generations. Mashing is often used prior to workouts to warm the tissue, and after workouts to help flush the tissue and aid in faster recovery.

Whether used as a stand alone bodywork therapy, or pre- or post- workout, it powerfully supports muscles in stretching more effectively while positively impacting myofascial tissue and increasing blood flow. It’s effects are both relaxing and energizing, and it feels great.
